Hi Mafi D! How are you doing?

I’m good, some days better than others but I’m still maintaining tryna put myself back in a good head space to keep this music going

Where are you from?

Seattle, WA - the central district

What’s your greatest inspiration for making music?

My inspiration is my life, my kids, the things I go thru on a daily basis from my friends dying to relationship problems to family issues. I feel like if I talk about the things people are scared too it’ll help me get over them an help someone else too

What are 3 words that describe your music?

Real, Vulnerable, Therapeutic

Whats the hardest thing you’ve ever written about?

Hardest thing I’ve ever written about is probably about mental health. It made me realize all the trauma that I go through an how it gotta get dealt with but recently I’ve been writing about some things that’s caused me to have to be self aware and admit to my wrong doings in life and that’s a hard thing to do - to accept what you’ve done no matter what it is an forgive yourself

Whats the biggest challenge you’ve faced as an artist thus far?

I feel like the biggest challenge is just finding who you are in this business, in this culture and being comfortable with it - standing on solid principles and trusting people to have your best interest

Any new music coming out soon?

Yeah I’m always planning on releasing new music. Just released a track called “Chill On That” on the 26th of November - the video coming four days after that and another single/video coming out some time next month
