Kaasim, Atlanta’s Next Up

Let us introduce you to Kaasim. An artist from Boston, MA. Kaasim first started to get into music from the record store his family owned. The record store had many celebs come in to promote themselves before they were very big. The family store was the first ever to sell New Edition’s song. Growing up, his biggest fan was his grandmother who actually got him into music. She first put him in a play where he met his first music mentor, Elma Lewis. 

Kaasim would say that his genre of music is RNB/Hip Hop. He is like a rapper but likes to stay more in the singer lane. Kaasim is constantly making new music and using his old songs to keep him writing. “ On purpose” was produced by Grammy nominated super producer $K, DJ Cruz and Simon Kempner.  It is currently on it’s way to become his second viral song. It has over 12,000 streams and was just released recently.  You can find this song along with his other top hits on his Spotify. 

This year you can expect to find more songs and videos being released. Coming up, he has a song coming out with Grammy Nominated James Worthy produced by his cousin, The Yung Dragon. It was written throughout the quarantine period of 2020. Be on the lookout for a new song every month and make sure to head to his Spotify till then.
